Role Reporting to the Document Control Manager, the Document Controller is responsible for maintaining the integrity and accuracy of project documents. You will oversee the company's document management system, ensuring that all documentation is properly classified, archived, and accessible to relevant stakeholders. This role is critical for supporting project teams and ensuring compliance with internal and external documentation standards. Responsibilities Establish and maintain effective document control processes and procedures. Ensure timely processing, classification, and distribution of project documents, including contracts, drawings, and specifications. Maintain document version control and ensure proper archiving and retrieval of documents. Conduct regular audits of documents to ensure compliance with established standards. Assist project teams with document-related inquiries and support documentation requirements for project deliverables. Coordinate transmittals and ensure that all documentation is approved and meet corporate document control policies. Support training and guidance for project staff on documentation standards and best practices. Contribute to the continuous improvement of document management systems and processes. Qualifications Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Records Management, or a related field is preferred. 3-5 years of experience in document control or records management, preferably in the engineering or construction industry. Familiarity with document management software (EDMS) such as Aconex, Procore, or similar systems is an asset. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively. Team-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
