Headquartered in Perth, Western Australia, Sandfire has a demonstrated commitment to the highest safety standards. Our strategy is focused on both near-mine and regional opportunities as we seek to leverage our strategic position in the Iberian Pyrite Belt in Spain and the Kalahari Copper Belt in Botswana and materially increase the life of our modern processing hubs. Sandfire has recently entered an exciting partnership with Havilah Resources to advance the Kalkaroo Copper-Gold Project in South Australia.

Job description:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Document Controller on a casual basis (1-2 days per week), providing support to our Exploration Asset. In this role, the successful candidate will support the development, management, and governance of all controlled documentation across the Asset.

The Document Controller's primary focus will be establishing and maintaining a robust local document control framework, ensuring that procedures, guidelines, management plans, work instructions, forms, and templates meet Sandfire governance requirements. This role will also act as the central coordinator for Exploration's document management system, where you will be responsible for driving document quality, consistency, compliance, and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Administer and maintain the Exploration controlled document management system in strict accordance with approved governance standards.
  • Establish document control processes, workflows, templates, standards, and lifecycle requirements aligned with Group Standards and Procedures.
  • Oversee document numbering conventions, version control, metadata, revision histories, approval records, ownership, and review schedules.
  • Coordinate the drafting, editing, formatting, review, approval, publication, distribution, and archiving of controlled documents with full traceability.
  • Work with Document Owners to ensure all documentation remains current, accurate, and accessible, actively escalating overdue or uncontrolled documents to relevant managers.
  • Maintain the Exploration Master Controlled Document Register as part of the Exploration Operations Support function.
  • Assist with jurisdiction-specific documentation, translation, and localization needs, ensuring synchronised document links.
