POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Document Control Manager is responsible for organizing, managing, and maintaining all project-related documentation. This includes materials related to design, procurement, quality, construction, commissioning, and operations. The role ensures that project documentation is accurate, up to date, and properly distributed in compliance with established procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience using document control systems tailored to engineering or construction projects.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, international team environment.
  • Familiarity with various types of technical documentation, including project plans, engineering drawings, specifications, quality records, and safety documentation.

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Experience in handling technical documentation throughout the lifecycle of engineering or construction projects.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a dynamic environment.

  • Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities
  • Manage a Document Management System (DMS) for registering, organizing, issuing, and distributing project plans, drawings, and records.
  • Track and manage documentation related to Requests for Information (RFIs), change notifications, deviations, and other key project communications.
  • Receive, register, and maintain documentation across all project phases, including design, quality, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
  • Ensure adherence to the project’s document control standards, including numbering systems, templates, and workflows.
  • Update document templates as required.
  • Verify that all documents are authorized, issued, and distributed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Support paper-based systems for the storage, distribution, and retrieval of physical records.
  • Collaborate with document originators, engineers, and designers to ensure data accuracy and resolve discrepancies within the DMS.
  • Provide administrative support to the document control team as needed.
  • Coordinate weekly and monthly reporting requirements.
