Job Description Summary This role will be remote. The Documentation Coordinator 1 will be a point of contact for Care Coordinators members for physician account support and be responsible for obtaining the necessary documentation from physicians to substantiate a patient’s need for medical supplies for submission to their insurance. Requirements Professionally interact with healthcare providers to acquire medical documentation and troubleshoot customer inquiries Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of medical supplies and insurance guidelines Identify and professionally resolve customer service-related issues Collaborate with the Customer Care team to support customer service initiatives aligned with company goals Meet or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly targets in accordance with efficiency measurements Adhere to compliance standards, including Medicare guidelines, HIPAA, and ACW Provide backup support to the Care Coordinator as needed Cultivate positive connections with healthcare providers to nurture enduring working partnerships Maintain a positive work environment that embodies BD's philosophy of professional excellence, teamwork, and integrity Education High school diploma or equivalent; one to two years of relevant experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Skills Ability to read, analyze, and interpret medical supply publications, technical procedures, and training materials Excellent written and verbal communication skills for internal and external correspondence Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to interpret instructions and forecast workflow processes Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, database software, and call center telecommunications software Flexibility to work evening shifts, weekends, and overtime as needed Compensation BD offers a competitive compensation package commensurate with experience and qualifications.
