You’ll: Manage incoming and outgoing referrals, including tracking scheduling and follow-up Process imaging and procedure orders Complete prior authorizations for tests, procedures, and DME Communicate with patients about referral appointments and missed follow-ups Understand insurance coverage and requirements for authorizations Track and retrieve medical records, diagnostic reports, and hospital notes Monitor and respond to incoming faxes, messages, and prescription lines Reconcile interface issues in the EMR Prepare professional correspondence to patients and providers Serve as backup receptionist when needed, greeting patients with warmth and professionalism Provide general administrative support to providers and nurses Requirements What We’re Looking For High school diploma or GED preferred 1+ year of experience in a medical office or administrative healthcare setting (or equivalent training/education) is required Working knowledge of medical terminology preferred Strong customer service, phone etiquette, and organizational skills Comfort with computers, EMRs, and multitasking in a fast-paced environment Commitment to patient confidentiality and team collaboration Experience in a community health or FQHC setting is a plus Why Choose Us?
