Responsibilities

ROLE DESCRIPTION

This is a full-time on-site role as a Documentation Clerk located in our Southampton office. The ideal candidate will have strong organisational skills and a keen eye for detail. You will be responsible for managing the documentation function of our service, working with both our in-house team and customers to ensure that strict deadlines are met and exceptional customer service is delivered.

MAIN DUTIES:

  • Inputting Bill of Lading Instructions into our in-house system
  • Updating customers on delivery status and following up for required information and documentation
  • Raising export customs entries
  • Tracking and entering custom entries to ensure timely clearance
  • Processing and issuing Bills of Lading after vessel sails, adhering to strict turnaround times
  • Regular liaison with customers to ensure smooth operations
  • Updating in-house systems to monitor shipment progress
  • Making bookings as required
