REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of experience in technical documentation, information architecture, or content strategy.
  • Strong understanding of structured authoring (DITA), docs-as-code workflows (Sphinx, reStructuredText), and content delivery platforms (Fluid Topics).
  • Experience designing scalable information architectures for complex technical products.
  • Familiarity with metadata, taxonomy, and semantic search principles.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with AI-enhanced documentation systems, including LLMs and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).
  • Background in cloud technologies or enterprise software.
  • Knowledge of UX principles and accessibility standards in documentation.
Responsibilities

As a Documentation Information Architect on our team, you’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of technical writers, developers, and documentation tools specialists to re-architect the Wind River Private Cloud documentation offering. Your mission will be to make the content more readable, searchable, and scalable, supporting both internal and external audiences.

In your daily job you will:

  • Lead the redesign of the documentation information architecture for Wind River Private Cloud.
  • Define and implement content models, metadata strategies, and taxonomy frameworks to improve discoverability and reuse.
  • Collaborate with writers, engineers, product managers, and testers to align documentation structure with product architecture and user workflows.
  • Evaluate and optimize current content delivery platforms (Fluid Topics, DITA CMS, Sphinx, reStructuredText) for performance, usability, and integration.
  • Drive the transformation of documentation to better serve enterprise users, focusing on scalability, role-based content delivery, and alignment with enterprise workflows, compliance needs, and integration scenarios.
  • Develop and maintain documentation standards, templates, and governance models.
  • Support AI-driven documentation initiatives, including chatbot integration and RAG-based content retrieval.
  • Champion user experience in documentation by conducting usability reviews and incorporating feedback loops.
