Description
Prepare and negotiate agreements/documents with institutional clients mainly based in Japan. The type of agreement/documents are mainly; - ISDA documents (ISDA Master Agreements and any related credit support documents (including VM and IM CSAs, custodian arrangement agreements related to IM, counterparty guarantees etc) - financing transaction documentation (such as GMSLA, GMRA and Japanese stock lending, JSDA repo/gensaki agreements etc) - clearing agreements for OTC and listed derivatives - other trading documentation including Clear Derivatives Execution Agreement, Electronic Transactions Agreement and any ancillary documentation - remediation of aforesaid agreements in order to comply with regulatory requirements Review and analyze legal documentation to determine capacity and authority to enter into transactions related to the aforesaid agreements/documents. Develop and maintain client relationship by liaising with other infrastructure groups of the firm (eg, Legal, Compliance Risk Management, Credit, Operations, Tax etc) throughout the negotiation process, including analyzing and presenting negotiation issues to relevant stakeholders. Actively participate in industry working group calls. Actively participate in global team projects on initiatives such as IT, risk management, system development and regulatory-driven projects. Assist in the development of policies, procedures and systems. Full professional fluency in Japanese and business level English (both oral and written). Excellent oral and written communication skills to work with local / global / internal / external parties. Ability to work in a team as a good team player. Ability to identify, define and solve problems.
