About the job: The Red Hat Customer Content Services (CCS) team is looking for a Documentation Program Manager to join a global team of technical writers in India. In this role, you will work with your peers around the world, implementing our strategic initiatives to develop customer-centric content that supports Red Hat Enterprise Linux. Ideally, you should have experience managing projects in a high-tech, fast-paced environment combined with technical writing experience and a passion for improving the customer experience. As a Program Manager you will play a crucial role in guiding the work and direction of the team to create content that is technical, engaging, and easy to use. What you will do? Partner with technical writing managers and content strategists to ensure that project needs are met to satisfaction Helping technical writers set up priorities Drive and monitor documentation projects in an agile environment using Jira. Create dashboards, run sprints, and retrospectives using Jira. Ensure that all your projects consistently use story points. Drive the documentation releases and identify and communicate, and resolve risks that may cause delays in delivery. Coordinate with your peers around the world to ensure global collaboration and consistency in the carrying out of content tasks Coordinate your global peers to implement our strategic change initiatives through your team's daily work Shape and support collaboration efforts between technical writers and customer-facing technical associates from Global Support Services team and other field teams Communicate and coordinate release schedules with engineering and product stakeholders. What you will bring? Experience with Agile methodologies (Kanban, Scrum) Experience with Jira 5+ years of relevant experience as a Documentation Program Manager Demonstrated record of improving internal workflows and processes Excellent written and verbal communication skills and an ability to collaborate with teams from other regions of the world Experience with and passion for guiding change and continual improvement Experience with creating and evolving technical content in the Red Hat Enterprise Linux space Demonstrate proficiency in utilizing LLMs (e.g., Google Gemini), as relevant, for tasks such as brainstorming solutions, deep research, summarizing technical documentation, drafting communications, summarizing complex technical information, and enhancing problem-solving efficiency across the development lifecycle.
