POSITION SUMMARY Under minimal supervision, the Hawaii Keiki (HK) Health Technician is responsible for coordinated school health tasks including; coordinating school wide screenings with community partners, health and wellness promotion, data collection and disease surveillance, coverage of the health needs of students, data entry and health education as requested. Will facilitate virtual and/or in person visits with a HK Nurse Practitioner (APRN). May cover school health rooms following Hawaii State Department of Education (HIDOE) protocol as requested and approved by HK supervisor and school administration.   Learn more about the program at www.nursing.hawaii.edu/hawaii-keiki.
