We are seeking a Daycare Attendant/Retail Consultant to join our team. At Fetching Forever, we are overly passionate about providing exceptional care for dogs and ensuring a safe, fun, and enriching environment for every pup that walks through our doors. Our mission is to be the trusted choice for dog owners, offering top-notch daycare services where dogs can play, learn, and thrive under the supervision of our dedicated and knowledgeable staff. We also offer retail pet food and supplies, as well as grooming services.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong guest service skills to engage with pet owners and provide a concierge-like approach to guest engagement.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting, ensuring the safe handling of dogs and equipment.
  • Ability to walk groups of up to 6 dogs in an effective and controlled manner
  • Experience in a retail environment is a plus.
  • Knowledge of dog behavior and care practices is required.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
    Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
    Pay: $18.25 per hour
    Expected hours: 15 – 37 per week

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Attention: Monitor dogs at all times to ensure their safety and well-being. Manage group play and individual activities.
  • Health and Wellness: Observe dogs for any signs of illness or distress and report concerns immediately. Administer medications and provide special care as needed.
  • Enrichment: Engage dogs in stimulating activities and play sessions. Use toys, games, and training exercises to keep them mentally and physically active.
  • Feeding and Hydration: Ensure that each dog is fed according to their dietary needs and always has access to fresh water.
  • Social Media Content: All staff take part in photographs and videos of dogs through the day.
  • Bathing, Nail Trims: As part of add-on packages, you may be responsible for various beautification aspects of dogs in our care.
  • Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and sanitary environment by regularly cleaning play areas, dog beds, toys, and equipment

Responsibilities:

  • Client Communication: Greet clients warmly and handle inquiries, bookings, and concerns professionally. Keep clients informed about their dogs’ activities and well-being.
  • Check-In/Check-Out: Efficiently manage the check-in and check-out process, ensuring accurate records and clear communication with dog owners.
  • Feedback and Follow-Up: Gather feedback from clients and address any issues promptly. Follow up with clients to ensure satisfaction and build long-term relationships
  • Retail Sales: Meeting sales targets and key performance indicators.
  • Community Engagement: Participate in community events and social media activities to promote our daycare and engage with the broader community
