Key Responsibilities
- Animal Care & Handling:
- Bathe, brush, and dry dogs.
- Clip nails, clean ears, and express anal glands, as directed.
- Safely handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments, including lifting and restraining them.
- Observe pet health and report any issues to the groomer.
- Salon Maintenance:
- Maintain a clean, hygienic, and safe grooming environment by cleaning bathing areas, kennels, and equipment.
- Stock inventory and organize grooming tools and products.
- Customer Service:
- Provide assistance and support to dog owners.
- Manage appointment scheduling and ensure timely service.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
- Love for Animals: A genuine passion for pets is crucial.
- Patience & Calmness: Ability to stay calm around anxious or excitable dogs.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift pets, and work in a demanding environment.
- Attention to Detail: To ensure hygiene and safety standards are met.

- Physical Fitness: Needed to handle dogs and perform cleaning tasks.
Helpful Experience & Training

- Professional Grooming/Pet Care Qualification: A formal qualification is a plus, though not always required.
- Grooming School or Apprenticeship:Provides hands-on training and builds a professional foundation.
