JOB OVERVIEW

We are looking for a caring, reliable, and hardworking Dog Grooming Assistant to join our grooming team. In this role, you will primarily be responsible for bathing, drying, brushing, and preparing dogs for grooming services. You’ll also assist groomers in daily tasks and ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for pets and clients alike.

REQUIREMENTS

• Previous experience with animals (preferred but not required)
• Comfortable handling dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for animals
• Willingness to learn grooming techniques and safety protocols
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented

• Bathe dogs using appropriate shampoos and techniques based on coat and skin type
• Dry dogs using hand dryers, stand dryers, and towels
• Brush out coats and remove mats or tangles under supervision
• Assist with nail trimming, ear cleaning, and basic grooming prep
• Help restrain pets safely and comfortably during bathing and grooming
• Maintain cleanliness of grooming area, tubs, equipment, and tools
• Restock supplies and assist with laundry duties (towels, aprons, etc.)
• Provide a calm, positive experience for pets of all sizes and temperaments
• Communicate professionally with groomers, staff, and pet owners
• Monitor pets for any signs of distress or health concerns and report accordingly
