DESCRIPTION

We are looking for compliant, diligent Dog Handlers for a secure site in York.
The site requires cover 18:00 – 08:00 Monday to Thursday and 18:00 -06:00 Friday until Monday. so we are looking for GP teams to ideally work Monday, Tuesday nights and then Saturday and Sunday day or Wednesday – Sunday nights.
All handlers will be required to ensure the security of our client’s premises while adhering to the site safety rules and regulations. Handlers will be required to be compliant to the British Standards, conduct random dog patrols of the site and any other specific duties to be advised in the assignment instructions.
Successful applicants will be required to pass Security Clearance for this site which we will organise.
Preferred applicants will be expected to maintain high levels of proficiency along with their canine teammate through regular training and improvements.
A high level of animal welfare and care will always be expected!

HANDLER REQUIREMENTS

To apply, applicants are required to have:
* Work ethics, positive attitude and be a team player
* Genuine understanding of their canine partners needs/welfare
* A valid frontline SIA badge
* Minimum level 2 team certificate (NASDU, NTIPDU or BIPDT)
* Continuation training (CT) records
* A suitable dog of guarding breed
* Compliant dog cages with escape hatches
* Appropriate, smart, unbranded vehicle (no company livery)
* Public Liability Insurance
* Have the right to work in the UK
* Professional, presentable with excellent communication skills
* Smart black uniform & boots with clean hi-vis/tactical vest
