The Canine Hub is a growing dog training and pack adventure business based in Armstrong, BC. We are passionate about helping dogs and their owners build strong, healthy relationships through training, socialization, and positive experiences. POSITION: DOG HANDLER

We are looking for a reliable and motivated Dog Handler to join our team. This role involves hands-on work with dogs in a structured, safe, and engaging environment. You will be working with pack hikes, training exercises, and general handling of dogs of various breeds, sizes, and temperaments.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Prior experience working with dogs (professional or volunteer) preferred. Ongoing training will be provided.
• Comfortable handling dogs of all sizes, breeds, and energy levels.
• Physically fit and able to walk/hike for extended periods in all weather conditions.
• Strong communication skills and a professional, positive attitude.
• Reliable transportation and a clean class 5 driver’s license.
• Punctual, dependable, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team
• Must be available Monday-Friday half days (with the option to go to FT in the future)
• An up to date cellphone with ability and capacity to take video/photo content each day and post to our social media

• Safely handle and manage multiple dogs on-leash and off-leash in outdoor settings.
• Lead pack hikes, including pickup/drop-off of dogs when required.
• Assist in reinforcing training methods established by The Canine Hub
• Monitor dog behaviour, ensuring safety, positive socialization, and well-being.
• Communicate clearly with The Canine Hub team and clients regarding each dog’s progress, needs, or concerns.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of equipment, vehicles, and work areas.
• Follow all company safety protocols and handling standards.
