We’re looking for a Dog Transport & Daycare Assistant to join our team!
About Country Canine Care:
Country Canine Care has been proudly serving the Comox Valley since 2018, and came under new ownership in 2022. We’re more than just a dog daycare. We’re a safe, fun and enriching outdoor daycare space where pups can play off leash in a safe and positive environment. We’re honoured to have been recognized by the community as Best Dog Daycare in 2023 and 2024, and 2nd Place in 2022. Our focus is to creating a positive, supportive environment built on love for dogs, trust with their families and teamwork within our staff
About the Role:
You’ll be hired on as a contractor to help our furry friends get to and from daycare safely. Training starts part-time, with the opportunity to move into a full-time role this October where you will also be monitoring play, behaviour and activities during the day (don’t forget all the love and snuggles you will get)

Part-Time Hours (to start):

• Monday–Friday
• 7:30am–10:00am (morning transport + drop-off)
• 1:00pm–3:30pm (afternoon pick-up + drop-off) Perfect for someone in Union Bay, you’ll have a nice break to go home mid-day!

Full-Time Hours (optional):

• Monday–Friday
• 7:30am–3:30/4pm (pick up + drop-off, supervising play)

What You’ll Do:

• Transport dogs from their homes around the valley to daycare and back
• Ensure pups are safe, happy and well-behaved during rides and playtime
• Monitor activities and support our positive, fun and safe environment

What We’re Looking For Someone Who Is:

• A safe and reliable driver in all weather conditions (transportation vehicle provided)
• Comfortable working with dogs of all sizes and temperaments
• Knowledgable with positive reinforcement
• Reliable, positive and loves being outdoors rain or shine
• Looking for steady training hours that will grow into full-time work
• Experience preferred but not required, will train the right candidate
