Barkly’s & Co are seeking an experienced and paw-loving individual to join our luxury pet salon. The successful candidate’s primary role will be to provide grooming assistant to an array of fur-babies and to assist in the day-to-day running of our luxe salon.
The successful candidate will need:

Responsibilities:

• Bathing dogs of various breeds and sizes .
• Safely handling and restraining dogs to ensure their comfort and safety.
• Performing basic grooming tasks such as brushing, teeth cleaning and ear cleaning.
• Maintaining a clean and organized grooming area,
• Assisting groomers with additional tasks as needed, such as drying dogs, applying treatments, or scheduling appointments.
• Liaising with clients regarding grooming requirements and/or pick up and drop off procedures
• Proficient with social media outlets and responsible for day to day content creation based on discussed marketing strategy

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with dogs in a professional setting preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of basic dog grooming preferred but not required
• Ability to handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments with patience and compassion.
• meticulous attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, have a positive can-do attitude.
• Physical stamina and dexterity to stand, bend, and lift over 20kg dogs.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays

Job Type: Casual
Pay: $26.00 – $35.00 per hour
