OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Dog Daycare Attendants to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing a safe and engaging environment for guests in our care. Your love for animals and commitment to their well-being will be essential as you interact with companion animals and their owners throughout the day. This position is perfect for individuals who enjoy working with animals, enjoy being physically active, have experience in the companion animal care industry or are seeking an opportunity to gain experience In the field.

EXPERIENCE

Ideal candidates will possess experience in one or more of the following areas while maintaining flexibility to adapt to new protocols and techniques. Experience is a plus, but not required.

  • Daycare or animal care setting.
  • Animal handling or pet sitting.
  • Veterinary assistant or shelter volunteer.
  • Strong customer service skills related to companion animal care.
  • Proficiency in safe animal handling techniques.

We are an Enrichment based doggy daycare with indoor and outdoor exercise and play areas, located in idyllic Pipersville, PA. We have adjoining veterinary physiotherapy and rehabilitation, acupuncture, and training departments within our brand new 10,000 sq facility. Our team works together to provide a unique daycare experience fostering whole body health and fitness. We encourage our guests to use both body and mind. We employ many modalities such as puzzles, brain games, scent and obstacles courses to create sensory experiences without overwhelming them. Our play groups are small with attendant to guest ratios as low as 1:1 and maxing out at 2:5. Join us in providing exceptional care and a bespoke experience to every The Dog House guest.

Pay: $13.00 - $18.00 per hour

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and engage with dogs in in very small playgroups to ensure their safety and well-being.
  • Provide basic care, including feeding, watering, and regular exercise.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the daycare facility by following all cleaning and disinfecting protocols throughout the facility.
  • Observe guest behavior and report any concerns or issues to appropriate management.
  • Attend regular in house training 9n topics such as body language, animal handling and safety protocol, canine enrichment, and various areas of dog training.
  • All Dog House certified team members are responsible for training new team members in daycare essential protocol.
  • Provide daily enrichment for individual guests such as obstacle and scent courses, one on one play, and brain games.
  • Communicate effectively with clients during drop off and pick up times regarding their dog’s behavior and needs.
  • Implement safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a secure environment for all animals.
  • Once trained and Dog House certified you will be initiating and supervising first time guest to guest introductions.
  • As a trained and certified team member you will be aiding in matching guests to appropriate groups.
  • Consider cross training in our concierge department.
