SUMMARY

We are seeking a Domestic Worker to join our team in Cheshire West and Chester. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting vulnerable individuals and families by providing compassionate care and assistance. Your contributions will directly impact the lives of those we serve, aligning with our mission to promote safety and stability.

  • Domestic abuse, IDVA, ISVA : 1 year (preferred)
  • Computer literacy: 1 year (required)

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide direct support to individuals and families in need of assistance.
  • Assist with daily living activities, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
  • Implement crisis intervention strategies when necessary.
  • Collaborate with social workers and other professionals to develop action plans.
  • Maintain accurate records of services provided and client progress.
  • Engage with children in a supportive manner, promoting their well-being.
  • Facilitate communication between clients and service providers.
  • Participate in training sessions to enhance skills relevant to the role.
  • To assess the risks of all clients, and complete risk management plans to address any risks identified and DASH, reviewing risk on a regular basis.
  • To assess the needs of all clients using the appropriate paperwork, in conjunction with them, devise a SMART plan to address identified needs.
  • Qualifications:
  • Relevant qualification Domestic abuse, IDVA, ISVA or equivalent to Diploma/ Degree/NVQ 3 or equivalent work level experience and the willingness to achieve a level 3 relevant qualification.
  • An extensive understanding of individuals and families, who have or are experiencing domestic abuse
  • Strong background in crisis intervention and management.
  • Knowledge of assessing and implementing risk assessments, including DASH Ric.
  • Knowledge of social work principles is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and conflict management skills.
  • Knowledge of the impact of multiple disadvantages, complex support needs, and homelessness.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Any of the following qualifications/Delivery: Freedom Programme, Gateway, Recovery Toolkit, Healthy relationships, Counselling, Train the trainer.
