YOUR ROLE
As the Domestic and Family Violence bail Coordinator, you will manage the coordination of custodial releases and police bail matters, as well as working alongside Community Corrections staff to assess suitability and eligibility for the Domestic Violence Electronic Monitoring Program (DVEM). This dual focus role supports safe and timely releases from custody and ensures appropriate monitoring of high-risk individuals. WHAT YOU’LL DO
As part of the Domestic and Family Violence Bail team, you will be responsible for two key business functions. The first is coordinating the timely release of individuals accused of domestic violence offences who are eligible for bail with electronic monitoring. This requires urgent, collaborative engagement with multiple stakeholders including police and domestic violence support services. The second involves managing the successful maintenance of the Domestic Violence Electronic Monitoring (DVEM) portfolio, collaborating with Community Corrections officers to guide eligibility and suitability, while leading coordination of outcomes and equipment.
This is a stakeholder heavy role, where relationship-building, attention to detail, and clear communication are essential. You will work closely with a small, supportive team – including a Senior DV Bail Coordinator and an Administration Assistant, in a hybrid, remote environment. You will be expected to work from your local Community Corrections office at least 50% of the month.
As this is a developing, high priority area of the department, you will also have the opportunity to contribute to project work, support innovative service design alongside the senior DV Bail Coordinator and engage with senior executives.
