OVERVIEW

The role of a Domestic Engineer is essential for maintaining the functionality and aesthetics of residential properties. This position requires a versatile individual who can tackle various tasks, ensuring that all aspects of domestic maintenance and improvement are addressed efficiently. The Domestic Engineer will be responsible for a wide range of duties, from basic repairs to more complex projects, utilising both manual skills and technical knowledge.

EXPERIENCE

Candidates should possess a solid foundation in mechanical knowledge, with experience in domestic maintenance or construction preferred. Familiarity with heavy lifting techniques is essential, alongside proficiency in using hand tools and power tools. Experience in carpentry, plumbing, welding, and basic maths will be advantageous. A valid driving licence is also required for those who may need to operate commercial vehicles as part of their duties. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.

  • Weld components when required for specific repair or assembly jobs.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work environment throughout all projects.
  • Occasionally drive commercial vehicles to transport tools or materials to job sites.
