Domestic Assistant - Aged Care
Location: across Woolloongabba, Annerley, Mount Gravatt, Upper Mount Gravatt, Tarragindi, Holland Park, Greenslopes, Mansfield, Wishard, Macgregor, Sunnybank, Coopers Plains suburbs
Hourly Rate: $38 - $42 + Kilometre Allowance
Employment Type: Casual, with potential for part-time employment

KEY REQUIREMENTS

• Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing/Disability) or equivalent (desirable but not required)
• Able to provide in home domestic care safely and according to guidelines
• Possessed caring, compassionate attitude and genuine interest in supporting older people
• Positive “can-do” attitude with strong communication skills
• Reside / willing to work in these suburbs : Woolloongabba, Annerley, Mount Gravatt, Upper Mount Gravatt, Tarragindi, Holland Park, Greenslopes, Mansfield, Wishard, Macgregor, Sunnybank, Coopers Plains
• Current National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
• Fully vaccinated for COVID-19 and 2024/2025 Flu Vaccination
• Current First Aid & CPR (or willingness to obtain)
• Open Australian Driver Licence
• Reliable registered own vehicle with comprehensive insurance
• Permanent Australian Resident / Citizen/ have Australian work rights. We do not offered sponsorship for this position

We are looking for a reliable and compassionate Domestic Assistant to support seniors in their homes within your local community. You’ll work independently, visiting clients in their homes to provide domestic support and basic meal preparation. We offer flexible hours and schedule shifts around your availability, allowing you to work the hours and days that best fit your schedules.
Your duties may include:
· Meal preparation
· Vacuuming and Mopping
· Light house cleaning
· Dishwashing
· Clothes and linen, washing and ironing.
· Bed making.
· Other domestic responsibilities needed
· Unaccompanied shopping
Clients appreciate routine and get comfort out of seeing the same people at the same time, so you will be assigned specific clients, and providing the services at the same time either on a weekly or fortnightly rotation. Reliability and commitment is KEY.
