High standards of personal hygiene and cleanliness are expected, and whilst prior experience is desirable; full training and ongoing support will be provided Are you looking for a part-time job working alongside a team of dedicated staff to help people have a good day? We are a Day Service supporting adults with disabilities and we're looking to recruit a kitchen domestic to join our team to serve heat ready meals for the people who attend our service. Your role will include heating and serving ready-made hot meals, general domestic duties including cleaning the kitchen area. High standards of personal hygiene and cleanliness are expected, and whilst prior experience is desirable; full training and ongoing support will be provided. You will need to be able to communicate effectively, treating the people we support with dignity and respect and work well as part of a team. This position is part time - please note the salary quoted is full time equivalent. If successful, the salary received will be paid on a pro-rata basis. The hourly rate is £12.85 - £ 13.05 and the working hours are Mon - Fri 11:30 am - 2:30 pm approximately. All staff employed by LCC have 26 days of annual leave a year (pro rata) which increases to 32 days after 5 years in addition to bank holidays, along with many other benefits, staff discount schemes etc. You need to be willing to undertake training as required. If you would like more information about the role our service, please contact the Sheena, Kurt or Susanne on 01524 581270 Proposed Interviews: Monday 27th October General Duties: Setting up and the clearance of service and dining areas The use of equipment and machinery including powered equipment, ovens, dishwashers/microwave/ water heaters/ washing machines General cleaning of kitchen and dining areas Reheating and the serving of pre-prepared meals, ensuring correct temperatures are reached To monitor and record food temperatures, Fridges and Microwave temperatures To undertake basic laundry duties Monitor stock control and communicate the needs of the service to the management team To prepare drinks as and when needed to the relevant people Safe food Handling Moving and Handling of objects Refreshing of toilet areas and washing up duties, use of a dish washer and filling of dispensers and ensuring bathrooms are fully equipped.
