Henderson House Care Home is located in the heart of Dalgety Bay, a popular coastal town in Fife. Our 60-bed home provides exceptional standards of Residential, Nursing, Dementia, and Respite Care in a warm and welcoming environment.
We are now looking for a Domestic Assistant to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will play an important part in ensuring that our home remains a clean, safe, and comfortable place where residents can truly feel at home. Your work will directly support the well-being of our residents by maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the home.

As a Domestic Assistant, you will ensure that all areas of the care home are kept to the highest standard of cleanliness, creating a pleasant and welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and staff. Your duties will include cleaning and maintaining bedrooms, communal areas, furniture, fixtures, and fittings. You will be responsible for maintaining sanitary areas, replenishing supplies, and managing waste safely and efficiently.
You will also support the laundry service, ensuring residents’ clothing and bedding are handled carefully, cleaned thoroughly, and returned promptly. At all times, you will follow health and safety guidance, infection control practices, and fire safety protocols, ensuring a safe environment for everyone. Working closely with colleagues, you will help maintain a positive atmosphere where residents feel comfortable, cared for, and respected.
