OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA) to join our team in an office-based role. The ideal candidate will play a crucial part in evaluating the energy efficiency of residential properties, providing valuable insights that contribute to cost-effective energy solutions. This position requires a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of energy assessment principles.

EXPERIENCE

  • Qualified Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA) with active accreditation
  • High level of domestic building knowledge in relation to retro-fit installations.
  • High understanding of RdSAP methodology
  • Familiarity with ECO schemes and retrofit processes (desirable)
  • Familiarity with cost control techniques is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey complex information clearly.
  • Proficiency in using relevant software tools for reporting and analysis. Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of domestic properties to evaluate energy performance and efficiency.
  • Prepare detailed reports outlining findings, recommendations, and potential improvements for energy savings.
  • Assist with eligibility checks and funding assessments for government-backed schemes (e.g., ECO4, GBIS)
  • Collaborate with clients to discuss assessment results and advise on energy-efficient practices.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards in energy assessment.
  • Maintain accurate records of assessments and client interactions.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to energy efficiency.
  • Implement cost control measures within the assessment process to optimise resource use.
