Position Overview: As a Domestic Operations Coordinator, you will manage end-to-end domestic freight forwarding activities while supporting daily operational workflows for shipments moving from our production facilities and third-party warehouses. This role is responsible for coordinating, tracking, and documenting all domestic shipments to ensure timely, accurate, and efficient movement of freight. You will work closely with carriers, warehouses, and internal teams while providing exceptional customer service and maintaining compliance with all transportation regulations.  Job Description: * Coordinate domestic freight shipments (LTL, FTL, parcel, expedited, intermodal) from pickup to delivery. * Schedule and confirm pickups and deliveries based on customer requirements, service levels, and carrier availability. * Monitor shipment status throughout the day, provide real-time tracking updates, and proactively resolve delays or issues. * Maintain accurate shipment data and updates in the Transportation Management System (TMS), dashboards, and internal tracking tools. * Prepare and review all shipping documentation, including bills of lading, packing lists, rate confirmations, and delivery receipts. * Ensure all quotes are entered into OPS and completed with carrier information, cost/sell details, and contact information. * Send all local pickup and delivery requests to the designated internal contacts (Shannon and Aleida) and follow up on all same-day activities. * Provide timely shipment updates to customers regarding pickups, freight-on-board status, and delivery confirmation. * Communicate professionally via phone and email with customers, carriers, and warehouses to support order updates and issue resolution. * Investigate and address customer complaints or freight claims (damage, loss, delay) by coordinating with carriers for timely resolution. * Manage and maintain positive carrier relationships; assist in rate negotiation when applicable. * Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, company procedures, and freight handling standards. * Review carrier invoices, verify against approved rates, and assist in resolving billing discrepancies. * Collaborate with warehouse, dispatch, and billing teams to support smooth operational flow. * Conduct daily turnover by handing off all in-transit shipments and open tasks to the next shift before leaving.
