Domestic Violence Prevention Worker, 28 hours per week. Part-Time. This is an Onsite position. This position will fall under the collective agreement between the Community Social Services Bargaining Association of Unions (CSSBA) and Community Social Services Employers’ Association (CSSEA). The position will fall under the conditions of employment as a member of the BC General Employees’ Union (BCGEU).

JOB SUMMARY:
The Domestic Violence Prevention (DVP) Program is designed to help women access community resources, enhance parenting skills, maintain healthy lifestyles, and develop the confidence needed to make informed decisions while parenting their children. The DVP Worker will work collaboratively with social workers, police, community-based domestic violence programs and service providers, and Kiwassa programs to build a network of support for women and children served. Additionally, the DVP Worker provides support to other service providers, by offering information, consultation, and training.
