Description Domestic Violence Services Outreach Advocate – Warren County As a Domestic Violence Services Outreach Advocate, you’ll do meaningful, hands-on work helping survivors find safety, stability, and hope. You’ll gain experience in crisis intervention, advocacy, housing support, and court systems while working with a supportive, mission-driven team. You’ll be guided by the Domestic Violence Services Director and empowered to help clients access resources, build safety plans, and move toward independence. What You’ll Do (And Why It Matters to You) Be the first person that survivors talk to in crisis. Build strong advocacy, case management, and crisis-intervention skills that grow your professional impact. Help clients with safety, housing, finances, transportation, and emergency needs Develop relationships with clients that are respectful, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive. Track progress and celebrate client successes as they move toward safety and stability. Support clients in court by explaining their rights and connecting them to legal resources. Lead groups, classes, and community presentations, building your confidence in public speaking and leadership. Occasionally work evenings or weekends for groups and community programs. Requirements What You Bring Associate’s degree in a human services related field Experience or strong interest in: Crisis intervention Victim advocacy Court and legal systems Public speaking and group facilitation Valid driver’s license
