Cedars Care Ltd is an established, small, family owned, domiciliary care company. Based in Burton Joyce, Nottingham, we provide home care to the elderly, within the surrounding towns and villages. We are seeking an Assistant Manager to work along side the current Assistant Manager, and Registered manager, in overseeing the day to day running of the business. You will work a 4 days on, 4 days off, rota pattern. On your 4 days off our existing Assistant Manager will continue with the overall running.
Essential skills and Requirements (Not an exhaustive list):
Leadership & Supervision:
- Lead the care team during scheduled shifts, offering guidance and support.
- Support performance management, staff supervisions, and training.
Quality & Compliance:
- Conduct spot and time checks, care reviews, audits, and compliance monitoring, in relation to both national standards and company policies.
- Support medication audits and care documentation reviews.
Operational Support:
- Assist with rota planning, short-notice cover, and service coordination.
- Liaise with the Assistant Manager to ensure continuity of leadership and a smooth handover.
- Attend care calls if essential for service delivery.
- Participate in the on-call rota, supporting out-of-hours queries, unplanned absences, and emergency issues.
Communication:
- Effectively and respectfully communicate with Staff, Clients/families and any engaged outside agencies .
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £24,000.00 per year
