Description

Do you live in Antrim, Ballyclare, Ballymena, Crumlin, Magherafelt, Randalstown, Newtownabby, Templepatrick, Bellaghy, Castledawson, Moneymore and surrounding areas?
The things you do in your day-to-day life really could make a difference to someone else’s day!
You probably hadn’t considered that running a household shows solid organisational skills, multitasking and dedication.
Taking time for a coffee and a catch up a friend in need shows just how caring and compassionate you are.
Picking that toy up off the stairs so no one has an accident is risk assessing and problem solving.
We do all manner of things in our day-to-day life that are transferrable to working in Care.
I’m sure you already know how to make a good cuppa, offer a listening ear, enjoy a story, and share yours too. I’m sure you can make a meal, wash the dishes, and help someone pop their shoes on.
Could you offer people just your time? a friendly smile and an ability to spread sunshine?
Think on your feet to make peoples days more comfortable?
We’d like it if your good at timekeeping, so not be late and provide care with feeling.
Oh, and then there is dignity and respect, You must treat people like family not as an object.
We would need you to advocate for those with no voice, and with that you must offer them choice.
Then at the heart of it all is compassion, are you able to provide dignified care without question?
To be able to make ‘home’ the best place to live.
