Westminster Homecare, part of the long-standing family run Care at Home Services Group, provides domiciliary care through care branches located across London, Essex, Buckinghamshire and East Anglia. We pride ourselves on delivering outstanding levels of home care to our many clients within their local communities, and in nurturing our staff to reach their full potential.
We are now seeking a Deputy Manager on a full-time basis to join our Sydenham Branch, supporting the Branch Manager in growth and development, ensuring the delivery of outstanding quality care whilst maintaining an efficient operation.
This is a busy role that requires strong organisational and communication skills and experience in the care industry is essential.
Salary is £31,000 - £35,000 depending on experience.

Responsibilities

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supporting the Registered Manager in overseeing the daily operations of our Sydenham branch.
  • Ensuring that high- quality, person-cantered care is delivered to clients in their own homes.
  • Supervising care staff, managing schedules, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and best practices in care delivery.
  • A strong focus on the wellbeing and safety of service users, ensuring that care plans are effectively implemented and regularly reviewed
  • Various administrative tasks, including maintaining accurate records, managing budgets, and preparing for inspections.
  • -Ensure appropriate delegation of staff care and support rotas
  • To work in partnership with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and Local authority
  • To effectively adhere to governing regulations and legislation
  • To ensure that all computerised and manual records are up to date
  • Implementation of the complaint’s procedure
  • Implementation of the Safeguarding of Vulnerable adults’ procedure
  • To liaise with service users/relatives and social workers
  • Preparation of management reports

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

  • A minimum of NVQ Level 3 in health and social care.
  • 2 years’ experience in care, preferably in a managerial role
  • Strong leadership/delegation
  • Organisational and administrative skills
  • Effective communication at all levels
  • Understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures.
