JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Workers to provide high-quality support and assistance to individuals in need of care. The ideal candidate will have experience in various care settings, including assisted living, nursing homes, and home care. This role involves working closely with clients to enhance their quality of life while ensuring their safety and well-being.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous experience in caregiving, particularly in assisted living, nursing homes, or hospice care settings is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Alzheimer’s care, dementia care, and senior care practices is highly advantageous.
  • Certification in first aid is desirable.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks associated with caregiving, including heavy lifting when necessary.
  • A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients.

Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Support clients with daily living activities such as meal preparation and medication administration.
  • Assist with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary.
  • Engage in behaviour management techniques to support clients with special needs.
  • Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
  • Maintain accurate records of client care and report any changes in health or behaviour to the appropriate personnel.
  • Ensure a clean and safe living environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties as needed.
  • Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required.
