Donation Attendant - Full Time, Hourly   Our mission is to Change Lives through the Power of Work!    Perks: - Store discount - Flexible hours - Paid Time Off & paid holidays - Insurance:  Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability - Casual dress - Work for an incredible mission - Collaborative work culture - Weekly pay - Family-friendly hours - Career development This position is responsible for receiving and organizing donations at the Retail Store. - Receive donated goods from donors. - Assist donors with unloading vehicles and carrying donations. - Provide receipts and literature to donors upon request. - Organize and sort donations into proper containers utilizing space as donations are received. - Maintain accurate donation records of total donors on a daily and weekly basis. - Demonstrate consistent positive behavior with all internal and external customers and professionally communicate donation policies and procedures. - Follow all safety policies and procedures. - Housekeeping; cleaning, sweeping, and shoveling donation area. - Material Handling: - Operate and utilize power lift stacker, pump cart, furniture cart, and dolly when moving and stacking containers. - Assemble/disassemble and label containers (gaylords, bulk carts, totes). Other Duties: - Hardline and furniture processing when donations are at a minimum.  Following established procedures and pricing guidelines. - Organize incoming and outgoing containers. Additionally, this position requires the following: - Planning & organizing - Flexibility/adaptability - Customer Orientation - Team building - Ability to work independently Education: - GED/diploma in High School preferred Experience: - A year of experience in manufacturing and/or retail operations  preferred Physical Requirements: - Mobility: Required to stand; frequently walk, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch. - Dexterity: Requires hands to manipulate, feel, reach, lift and/or carry. - Sensory:  Able to see objects, and colors at close range or distance, peripheral, and depth vision, and communicate orally with normal hearing decibels. - Lifting:  Medium work (frequently lifts and/or carries 25 to 50 lbs using safety measures in place.) - Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. Physical Environment: - Combination of both indoor and outdoor work - Exposure to dust and debris - Noisy setting - Considerable physical exertion including frequent bending and lifting - Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
