You must be an expert in executing thoughtful stewardship plans, utilizing data analysis to inform growth, and developing targeted monthly recurring donor campaigns. If you are a strategic thinker with exceptional follow-through, strong interpersonal communication skills, and the technical proficiency to manage our CRM (Raiser's Edge experience highly preferred), you have the core attributes we require. Requirements About the Role The Donor Engagement Manager is a critical, highly-visible position responsible for deepening relationships and driving retention among our individual donors giving at or below the $2,500 level. This strategic role is essential for fostering a consistent, positive donor experience that supports our organization's growth and contributes to a collaborative, donor-centric internal culture. Essential Experience and Qualifications The successful candidate will bring 3–5 years of relevant nonprofit experience, preferably specializing in individual giving, donor relations, or comprehensive stewardship. You must demonstrate a proven history of success in maintaining and strategically growing donor relationships through thoughtful and executed stewardship plans. While not required, significant experience supporting senior gift officers or executive leaders in their donor-facing work is strongly preferred. Key technical proficiency includes mastery of donor database or CRM systems (familiarity with Raiser's Edge is a strong advantage), email marketing tools, and basic design tools like Canva. Core Responsibilities and Accountabilities This manager will fully own the stewardship lifecycle for our mid-level and entry-level donors. A major focus includes developing and executing monthly recurring donor campaigns aimed at retention and identifying potential for upgrades. You will be responsible for creating and delivering personalized donor touchpoints and expertly managing the end-to-end donor experience around all signature organizational events. A key function involves maintaining the highest level of accuracy in CRM records and utilizing data to analyze trends that inform future growth strategies. Furthermore, the role involves sourcing and curating compelling, mission-based stories for donor communications, and providing essential support to leadership through timely preparation of donor briefings and coordinating shared donor relationships across various teams. Required Skills and Attributes We are looking for a natural strategic thinker defined by a high degree of attention to detail and follow-through.
