My Friend’s House, Collingwood Crisis Centre is a non-profit agency offering support for abused women and children living in the Georgian Triangle. Since opening in 1991, My Friend’s House has helped thousands of women get the safety and support they need to rebuild their lives.
We serve over 600 women and their children each year – 250 through our Shelter Program and the balance through our Outreach, Transition and Children’s Programs
Key Responsibilities: My Friends House Events
· Develop written plans, budgets and performance measurements for MFH Signature events designed to engage new donors and increase giving levels and revenue.
· Develop and manage strategy for cultivation and stewardship of third-party event related donors and prospects.
· Manage all third-party donors and digital support, signage and attend events as necessary.
· Develop and Manage Strategy for Digital Campaign Events
· Manage and oversee the execution of MFH events, including volunteer inclusion.
· Collaborate with the Senior Development Manager in research, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of individual, corporate and in-kind donors for sponsorship and giving programs.
· Build sponsorship asks, creative materials and enlist support.
· Develop content for and oversee the production of marketing collateral for events including sponsorship material, invitations, and digital posts.
· Perform research of event vendors, negotiate contracts and secure. Coordinate all logistics for events including registration, volunteer management, printing, production, marketing and communications, timelines, data entry and committee meetings.
· Manage all event sponsor and participant communications to increase engagement.
· Coordinate logistical aspects of special projects and events.
· Lead recognition strategy including letters of thank you and ensure relevant team members have information to produce tax receipts and correspondence.
· Coordinate cheque presentations and ensure relevant people are informed and briefed.
· Speak at events or invite senior staff or Board members to speak when required.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: OUTREACH PROGRAM AND GRANTS – GRANT COORDINATION AND PROMOTION IN 5 COMMUNITIES

Seeks out new funding and grant opportunities and assists required submissions.
· Find opportunities to speak and work with clients/staff to incorporate their voices.
· Provide speaking notes and remarks as required for Board members and Leadership team while attending events.
· Focus efforts on potential fundraising and communication opportunities.
· Book speaking engagements in collaboration with Executive Director, Senior Development and Communications Manager and Board members as appropriate.
· Book and organize flag raising and signage to support major events and Campaigns.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: COMMUNICATIONS

· Manage the annual communications plan and set a monthly calendar of events, awareness, community thankyou and fundraising posts.
· Contact staff for input and stay up to date, to feature current events and MFH programs to promote MFH need in the community – i.e., client stories, new programs, community issues regarding violence and abuse.
· Time Fundraising Campaign posts in coordination with team (Senior Development Manager, Donor Relations and creative hire) to deliver a unified message.
· Update Website to reflect changes in organization, new programs, events, sponsorship and Fundraising Campaigns.
· Research other organization’s Digital channels and present new ideas to team.
· Bi-annually use analytics to determine success of digital assets and rework as necessary.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: VOLUNTEER COORDINATION

· Solicit volunteer on a need’s basis from all areas of the organization.
Institute a volunteer management plan outlining role, recruitment targets, methods for attracting, retaining, and supervising fundraising volunteers.
