Job Details Job Location: Corpus Christi, TX Salary Range: $70000.00 - $70000.00 Salary/year Description The Diocese of Corpus Christi is seeking a Donor Relations Coordinator for the Stewardship and Development team. This position is responsible for providing comprehensive data support to all aspects of development functions and fundraising activities with primary focus on gift entry, data management, reporting, and to acknowledge and steward benefactors to Catholic ministries in the Diocese of Corpus Christi along with other projects as assigned. Areas of Responsibility: The list below reflects the general details considered necessary to describe the primary functions of the job identified and shall not be construed as a detailed description of all the work requirements that may be inherent in the job. Maintain and manage the 70,000+ constituents in an online database, facilitating updates and managing Standard Operating Procedures for accuracy Build relationships with diocesan leaders, pastors, lay parish leaders throughout the diocese to provide support to staff responsible for stewardship and development initiatives Directly and personally engage with major gift prospects and donors with the goal of inviting them into a deeper relationship with Christ through their gifts of time, talent, and treasure Participate in diocesan stewardship and financial development efforts, including the annual Bishop’s Stewardship Appeal, Bishop’s Guild, the School Study Committee, and other groups or special projects as needed Manage the use of software to oversee gift acknowledgment, data entry, and processing to ensure all gifts are accurately and efficiently recorded Review and process donation correspondence and update donor database records Reconcile donations and work with the Finance Office for regular bank reconciliation Work with other members of the team and across departments to provide good donor stewardship by providing timely and accurate acknowledgements on all gifts Assist general public with general questions about donations Coordinate special giving methods and events Maintain confidentiality and security of donor information and fundraising performance and methods Participate regularly in continuing education related to fundraising, development, and stewardship to stay abreast of prospect research and database administration; attend relevant training to enhance skills Perform other duties as assigned Mental/Physical Demands: Occasional local travel Lifting of 15 pounds or more Repetitive hand motions Prolonged use of computer hardware Qualifications Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education preferred; relevant experience may substitute on a year for year basis Professional experience in prospect research or database administration Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with diocesan policies and procedures is preferred Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred Valid Texas driver’s license required Special Knowledge and Skills: Excellent technical computer skills in Microsoft Office with advanced competency in Microsoft Excel and multiple types of databases such as Access and Raiser’s Edge Strong oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills with attention to customer service Strong organization skills and attention to detail Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple projects and prioritize tasks Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and clients Proficiency with computer hardware and basic office software (high speed typing and 10-key touch capabilities) Ability to maintain composure under duress Additional Requirements: Submit to employment required screenings including criminal background check, motor vehicle record check, and drug screening Certification in Safe Environment training provided by the Office of Safe Environment and Child & Family Resources Position requires adherence to diocesan policies and procedures, as well as exceptional collegiality and ability to work in a team environment
