The Donor Relations Specialist a key member of The Foundling’s Development team, responsible for managing individual giving partnerships and appeals. The role also supports logistics and fundraising for key events, along with departmental coordination, strategic planning, data management, and communication.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; no fewer than 4 years of experience in nonprofit development, preferably in individual giving or event planning.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills; ability to juggle multiple projects and priorities, meet deadlines, and work well in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent donor communications, customer service, and relationship-building skills. Willingness to make cold calls, emails, and be persistent.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with CRM platforms like Raiser’s Edge is strongly preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with AVP for Individual and Corporate Giving (ICG) to plan and execute overall donor relations strategy including: prospect identification, research, and data collection; activation of individual giving campaigns including seasonal campaigns, peer to peer campaigns, and major gift campaigns.
  • Work with Communications team to develop messaging for seasonal email campaigns.
  • Work with AVP for ICG to plan and execute external events, cultivation events, fundraising events, and Junior Board events
  • Coordinate logistics fo cultivation events, including fall fete auction and guest list.
  • Provide administrative and logistical support to the Junior Board including meetings, social/networking events, volunteering, peer to peer fundraising campaigns, and annual Blue Party.
  • Develop and update internal systems for tracking event progress and ensuring alignment with organizational priorities.
  • Maintain accurate records in our Raiser’s Edge database and donor engagement and events software.
