Description The Donor Services Associate provides essential support to the Donor and Corporate Services department by ensuring data integrity, delivering client relationship support, and performing administrative tasks. This role maintains and updates account information, processes grant requests, supports the giving portal, and prepares reports. The Donor Services Associate acts as a connector between donors, internal teams, and community partners, ensuring smooth communication and coordination. The position is based in Kansas City, MO and reports to the Donor Services Supervisor. This hourly, nonexempt employee works in the office Monday – Friday but has the potential to work one day remotely with manager approval after a successful 90-day in-office training period. To ensure we provide quality service to our donors, this position requires full availability during the fourth quarter (peak season) due to critical year-end responsibilities and business deadlines. While we recognize and observe holidays, personal time off is limited to ensure the successful completion of essential year-end tasks. Requirements Donor Services & Support Serve as a point of contact for donor & client relationship inquiries via phone, email, mail, and other CRM software. Provide support for the online giving portal and assist users with access and general troubleshooting. Complete welcome calls for new donors and relationships while assisting with new fund onboarding. Process daily grant requests and execute due diligence for each transaction. Database & Systems Management Ensure all information entered in the database is consistent with Community Foundation data integrity rules and requirements. Create and analyze reports, data, and aid in other transaction verification. Administrative & Operational Support Administrative support for the team, including data entry, due diligence, and corporate donor support. Assist in testing and evaluation of donor information platforms. Prepare and distribute donor correspondence, including letters, fund statements, checks and grant confirmations. Cross-Functional Support Monitor grant transactions to ensure expert service levels and timely processing. Aid reception backup as needed. Experience Education & Experience: An associate’s degree with at least 2 years of relevant experience (an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered). Technical Aptitude: Comfortable with technology and able to learn multiple databases quickly; experience with Salesforce is a plus. Proficient in Adobe Acrobat, Word, and Excel (including v-lookup and pivot tables). Communication & Relationships: Ability to build professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders and successfully communicate verbally and in writing. Ability to make effective speeches and presentations on complex topics to varying stakeholders. Maintains confidentiality and adheres to privacy standards. Financial Acumen: Operational level of financial acumen; able to identify and define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Operational Agility: Ability to work collaboratively and independently; self-motivated and reliable. Close attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Physical Requirements? Office & Computer Work: Ability to work regularly at a computer terminal in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions. Noise & Communication: Able to work in an office with moderate noise levels. Ability to communicate and interpret detailed information effectively.
