Description BAD Bakery is looking for an skilled baker to oversee the morning donut production and train new staff as we grow. You will be mixing dough from scratch, frying off donuts in tallow, and making bread. Baker Essential Job Functions for 1st shift Responsible for preparing the Donuts for serves. Arrive to work in a timely manner and be ready for the shift on time Proficiently operate kitchen machinery. Efficiently follow provided recipes to the specifications of the manager Keep track of inventory levels and communicate with the Manager to ensure timely restocking. Ensure compliance with health and safety standards in the kitchen. Uphold quality standards in food preparation and presentation. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment. Requirements Education and experience High school Diploma or GED Culinary degree preferred but not required 1+ year in commercial kitchen Competencies Efficiently manage time, resources, and priorities to meet production goals and deadlines. Quickly analyze situations, identify challenges, and implement effective solutions to ensure smooth production processes. Clearly convey instructions, expectations, and information to team members, as well as coordinate with other departments. Possess a strong understanding of the production processes and equipment relevant to the specific industry. Ensure high-quality standards in production processes and final products, implementing and maintaining quality control measures. Make informed and timely decisions based on a combination of analysis, experience, and sound judgment. Proactively seek opportunities to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall production processes. Effectively manage and control inventory levels to meet production demands while minimizing waste. Capability to lift and carry weights up to 50 lbs, Possession of reliable transportation to ensure punctuality for shifts, reflecting commitment and dependability. Physical Requirements This Baker position is a physically demanding position. The employee with be on their feet for most of the shift and are expected to left heavy objects.
