Job Summary: Performs a variety of yeast-raised doughnut preparation, frying, and finishing tasks. Main duties include proofing, frying, filling, powdering, decorating, and packing doughnuts, operating commercial proof boxes, doughnut fryer, and filling both retail and wholesale orders.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Ø Ability to learn by on the job training.
Ø Knowledge of basic safety precautions in the use of commercial bakery equipment.
Ø Capable of multi-tasking, being flexible, and having initiative in the work environment.
Ø Dedicated to monitor and maintain quality control standards especially product rotation and frying consistency.
Ø Must be willing to learn multiple job positions/tasks within the bakery.
Education and Experience: On-the-job training is provided

Ø Must be able to lift up to 50lb - 50% of the time
Ø Job requires, walking, bending kneeling, and standing
Ø Be able to move around quickly
Ø Ability to stand on feet for the duration of the shift
Ø Be able to work in freezer conditions 20% of the time
Ø Pulling, and pushing loaded racks/carts of product
Ø Lifting, pulling, pushing - 50% of the time

Ø Utilizes commercial bakery equipment e.g. proof boxes, doughnut fryer, utensils, measuring cups, etc. in dough proofing, frying, and finishing.
Ø Takes inventory and/or review daily production sheets to determine variety and quantity of products to prepare.
Ø Perform a variety of doughnut preparation duties such as laying out the crullers, papering the trays, filling the fruit hoppers, gathering materials and supplies, etc.
Ø Performs a variety of finishing duties including filling, icing, powdering, sugaring, and glazing doughnuts.
Ø Tray and pack finished products for retail and wholesale purposes.
Ø Utilize wheeled carts to transport product within various areas of production including frozen storage.
Ø Perform quality control measures such as changing the doughnut fryer oi; product dating/coding, rotation, material conservation (wiping off containers, etc.), and inspecting dough products during and after frying and making adjustments to processes as required.
Ø Perform related doughnut frying and finishing duties e.g. stocking supplies/materials, routine cleaning/washing, transporting soiled utensils/small equipment to dish area, and organizing work area.
Ø Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned by management e.g. help finish pies, bake off.
Ø Assist in waiting on wholesale customers during times where there is a shortage of available dock attendees.
Ø Follows established recipes to mix, make, fry and store crullers.
