Door Attendants and doorkeepers create a welcoming environment for hotel guests and facilitate their arrival or departure. This includes opening doors, hailing taxicabs, greeting guests, and carrying their bags into the hotel. Door Attendants may also keep their work area tidy by sweeping and removing refuse.

Qualifications

  • A service-focused personality is essential.
  • Previous fine dining or luxury level service knowledge and training.
  • Minimum two (2) years of prior work experience in a world-class luxury brand in a similar capacity.
  • Must have a flexible schedule and be highly motivated and quality-driven.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Full Ontario driver’s license.
  • Constant walking & standing.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Constant walking & standing.
  • Frequent lifting, crouching/bending/stooping/kneeling
Responsibilities
  • Attend to all guests entering and exiting the lobby promptly and professionally.
  • Assist with all guest luggage.
  • Educate guests about hotel property and amenities using the tools and training provided.
  • Be knowledgeable of the surrounding region, services and amenities to handle concierge inquiries accurately.
  • Manage the front drive efficiently and effectively and keep it in line with established standards.
  • Valet park vehicles safely and in line with established standards.
  • Maintain the proper physical appearance of the front drive, entrance, and lobby, communicating with housekeeping and maintenance departments as required.
  • Educate guests about hotel property and amenities.
  • Maintain a professional presence in the lobby area when between tasks.
  • Maintain the drive by clearing sidewalks and driveways of garbage, snow, gravel, and other debris.
  • Perform other assigned comparable or transient duties within the domain of knowledge and skills required by the position description.
