Hynes Bar + Kitchen is currently hiring 2 Door Staff for our bar in the heart of Kitsilano Vancouver! If you are looking for a fun working environment with awesome customers and coworkers then this may be the perfect role for you!
The suitable candidate for this position must be available to work a minimum of 4 weekend nights (Friday/Saturday) per month.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High-School Diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to stay calm under pressure
• Familiarity with local laws regarding alcohol service (Serving It Right certification is a plus)
• Previous experience in hospitality or security is an asset
• Basic Security Training (BST) is a plus
• Must be available to work a minimum of 4 weekend nights (Friday/Saturday) per month

• Warmly greet all guests entering the premises
• Check IDs and enforce age restrictions in accordance with liquor laws
• Manage guest flow and help prevent overcrowding
• Maintain a professional and approachable demeanor
• Handle situations involving intoxicated or unruly patrons calmly and respectfully
• Communicate with bartenders, servers, and management as needed
• Keep entrance area clean, organized, and welcoming while also ensuring no glassware is removed outside and that no smoking occurs within the 6 metres of the building
• Other duties as required
