Description

HUMAN RESOURCES

  • Build and lead a high performing sales team to achieve sales goals,encourage collaboration amongst staff and lead by example.
  • Recruits, hires, and onboards all direct/indirect reports as needed. Follows all termination standards and consults management prior to doing so.
  • Follow strategic plans for new hires, and always be searching for the best sales talent.
  • Motivates and disciplines (including termination) as needed.
  • Prepares, modifies, and delivers job descriptions and performance evaluations to direct reports.
  • Develops short and long-term HR requirements in cooperation with the President and HR Administrator.
  • Follows all on board and exit checklists.

GENERAL

  • Fills out daily and weekly checklists. Make sure the D2D sales team is also filling out the checklists.
  • Spends the majority of the day in the field with the team.
  • Follows best practises for meetings, sales process, and other SOPS.
  • Plans out turf first with the best neighborhoods, and recently completed projects.
  • Creates and updates process flows, sales procedures, checklists, and other documentation.
  • Always aiming for continuous improvement.
  • Fills out the annual, quarter, and month planning and review documents. Manages the team through these sheets and CRM software.
  • Work closely with marketing, product, and customer support teams to align sales efforts with other business functions.
  • Attends regular meetings, daily huddles, and other meetings as required.
  • Assists with other duties as required.
  • Regularly reads to improve sales, and leadership knowledge. Also attend educational workshops, and networking events.
  • Conduct research on market conditions, industry trends, and competitor strategies.
  • Identifies, recommends, and develops processes and procedures for the company, working with the Procedure Master to update the document index when necessary.
  • Oversees the implementation and ongoing management of sales-related software, including tracking spreadsheets and CRM software.
  • Foster a positive and productive sales culture.
  • Manage the Christmas light sales in off season as needed (same / similar sales process) Responsibilities
  • Ensures that all direct reports complete the duties as defined in their respective job descriptions.

EDUCATION

  • Post-Secondary degree in a relevant field (business, marketing, management, etc.).
  • Equivalent, relevant industry experience will be considered

EXPERIENCE

  • 3+ years of practical hands-on leadership experience managing D2D sales teams
  • 3+ years of sales or marketing experience in a small business or high growth sector.
  • Proven track record of building sales teams and hitting effective sales targets.
  • Experience building and adapting defined systems, processes, and procedures.
  • Experience in the construction, landscaping or home improvement industries is preferred.
