It is this belief which drives us to find new ways and places where we can make a difference. From times of personal crisis to moments of national grief, we are always here — providing support, safety, community, and opportunity.

If you’re a compassionate professional who thrives on empowering others and building stronger communities, we invite you to join us as a Case Worker in our Community Engagement team.
About the Role
As a Case Worker, you’ll walk beside people experiencing hardship and disadvantage—supporting them to set goals, build confidence, and connect with services that help them regain stability and independence.
You’ll be part of our Doorways Program, which takes a strength-based, holistic approach to helping individuals navigate financial stress, long-term disadvantage, and lifes’ complexities.
This is more than a job—it’s a calling to make change happen.
Reporting to the Doorways Regional Manager, this is a permanent full-time position, based at Ringwood and Box Hill, VIC.
Compensation is in accordance with SCHADS Award Level 4.

You will successfully

  • Work collaboratively with Corps Officers, volunteers, and local partners to deliver wraparound support
  • Build meaningful connections with community members to assess needs and develop achievable, personalised case plans
  • Provide support with financial hardship through referrals and advocacy (e.g., No Interest Loans, energy relief)
  • Strengthen capacity for self-determination and independent living
  • Ensure accurate case documentation and contributing to service improvement

You will have

  • A heart for people and a belief in their potential
  • Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is desirable
  • Diploma with experience would be considered
  • Experience in community services, ideally in case management or support coordination
  • A calm, optimistic outlook even in challenging situations
  • A commitment to working collaboratively—with individuals, families, and other service providers
  • A current and valid Working with Children’s Check
  • A current Driver’s Licence
