ABOUT US
The Salvation Army is a Christian movement and one of Australia’s largest and most-loved charities. We believe in doing good that transforms lives and futures for the better. It is this belief which drives us to find new ways and places where we can make a difference. From times of personal crisis to moments of national grief, we are always here — providing support, safety, community, and opportunity.
Make a Real Difference. Every Day.
At The Salvation Army, we believe in a world where everyone is seen, valued, and supported. Every day, we stand alongside individuals and families doing it tough—walking with them toward hope, healing, and a brighter tomorrow. If you’re a compassionate professional who thrives on empowering others and building stronger communities, we invite you to join us as a Case Worker in our Community Engagement team.
About the Role
As a Case Worker, you’ll walk beside people experiencing hardship and disadvantage—supporting them to set goals, build confidence, and connect with services that help them regain stability and independence.
You’ll be part of our Doorways Program, which takes a strength-based, holistic approach to helping individuals navigate financial stress, long-term disadvantage, and lifes’ complexities.
This is more than a job—it’s a calling to make change happen.
Reporting to the Doorways Regional Manager, this is a permanent full-time position, based at Ringwood and Box Hill, VIC.
Compensation is in accordance with SCHADS Award Level 4.
