About Us: Doro Marketplace is a vibrant and bustling bakery cafe dedicated to providing exceptional dining experiences to our guests. We take pride in our commitment to high-quality baked goods, service and delicious cuisine. We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled FOH Shift Lead to join our team and contribute to the success of our newest café.
Role Overview: As an FOH Shift Lead at Doro Marketplace, your main objective will be to support Café Management in effectively running a smooth and outstanding shift. You will be responsible for maintaining a high level of proficiency across all FOH hourly positions, leading by example, and ensuring that our guests receive impeccable service. Additionally, you will play a pivotal role in upholding sanitation standards within the team.
Responsibilities:
· Conduct thorough Opening and Closing Checklists to ensure all essential tasks are completed.
· Lead and guide the FOH team during shifts, promptly addressing any challenges or bottlenecks in guest service.
· Communicate shift-specific notes in the daily log to ensure clear communication among team members.
· Take an active role in training newly hired employees, providing constructive feedback to trainees and management.
· Exhibit proficiency in placing vendor orders when necessary to maintain inventory levels.
· Receive and inspect deliveries from external vendors to ensure quality and accuracy.
· Adhere strictly to cash management policies, demonstrating competence in counting the safe and cash drawers.
· Identify and report equipment repair and maintenance issues, collaborating to find effective solutions.
· Manage catering orders placed over the phone, ensuring accuracy and timely fulfillment.
· Conduct thorough sanitation checklists and take corrective actions as required to maintain a clean and safe environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Prior experience in various FOH roles within a hospitality or food service setting.
· Strong leadership skills and the ability to guide and motivate a team effectively.
· Proficiency in cash handling and basic financial transactions.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
· Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to upholding quality and standards.
· Availability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and evenings.
· Previous experience in a supervisory or shift lead role.
· ServSafe certification or equivalent food safety training.
· Understanding of local health and safety regulations.
Prepares coffee drinks and related food items as requested by customer. Ensures customer service and product quality, selection and availability.
