One (1) year clerical experience of which six (6) months experience with statues, rules or government regulations.   Preferences: Knowledge of Florida business statutory filing requirements of business entities. Experience responding to public inquiries by telephone.   Special Note: Responses to qualifying questions must be clearly supported in your employment history.   Duties and Responsibilities: Examines business filings for compliance with statutory and case law filing requirements.  Approves the filing or disapproves and identifies the defects and deficiencies.  Determines if defects require a rejection of the filing or if corrections can be achieved through supplemental submissions.  Communicates with clients verbally and in writing to assist in clarifying and correcting the defects and deficiencies. Computes and verifies the proper filing fee has been paid.   Maintains records and statistics of filings/registrations received, approved, or rejected utilizing a complex interactive computer data base.  Adds, deletes, or updates computer records in accordance with the office standards, policies, and procedures.  Generates correspondence and/or certificates in accordance with office policies and procedures. Performs other work-related duties as required.   Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Knowledge of Florida statutory requirements of business entities. Ability to provide consultative assistance to others.  Ability to plan/organize/coordinate work activities. Ability to communicate effectively with people, both verbally and in writing.
