The successful candidate will become a permanent member of the planning team * and provide mentorship and leadership to other staff and students as needed. They will support the * current and future development of planning protocols within the disease site groups. * Other primary functions include: * Provide support for training and education to other staff and students. * Provide clinical and technical support for the multi-disciplinary team by facilitating problem * solving. * Be familiar with all treatment unit configurations available in the department and understand * the capabilities and limitations of each unit to deliver treatment. * Additional related duties as required. Qualifications: * Current membership in the College of Medical Radiation Technologists or Ontario (CMRTO). * Minimum of seven years recent practical related experience as a Radiation Therapist * Minimum of five years’ experience in treatment planning. * Completion of an recognized dosimetry course is an asset. * A high level of initiative, excellent communication and interpersonal skills coupled with effective * analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills will round out one's clinical expertise. * Demonstrated ability to collaborate and communicate well within the multi-disciplinary team. * Demonstrated knowledge of planning/treatment concepts of Radiation Therapy. * Demonstrated ability to be adaptable, think critically, and work independently. * Demonstrated commitment to the advancement of the science of radiation therapy and the * profession. * Positive attendance and work record are essential.       Internal Candidates who believe they possess the necessary qualifications and experience for this position and who have been in their current position for at least six (6) months are encouraged to apply.
