Responsibilities: Transport finished goods and raw materials over land to and from manufacturing plants or customer sites Inspect vehicles daily for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance Follow routes, meet delivery schedules and collect and verify delivery instructions Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures Input delivery amounts and inventory into our automated online system for each stage of the loading and unloading process Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions Report defects, accidents or violations Requirements: Proven work experience as a truck driver – minimum two years of truck driving experience. Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB etc.) Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly, team drives, and out of state routes Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations No recent moving, driving violations, or accidents Moving violations: No more than 2 in the last 36 months Driving violations: No conviction within the last 36 months for any serious traffic violation Accidents: No more than one minor preventable accident during prior 36 months in a commercial motor vehicle Drug or alcohol convictions - none in the last five years Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc.) Willing to submit to pre-employment background/drug checks Valid truck driving license – Class A with proper endorsements - position requires hazmat and tanker endorsements A full job description is available upon interview.
