Job Details Level: Management Job Location: Detroit HQ - Sterling Heights, MI 48314 Education Level: High School or Equivalent Salary Range: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 Salary/year Travel Percentage: Up to 25% Job Shift: Swing We’re looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented DOT Transportation Manager to oversee our growing fleet of more than 250 drive units and trailers. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has a strong understanding of DOT compliance, and enjoys balancing logistics, budgeting, and people management. As our DOT Transportation Manager, you’ll be responsible for ensuring our fleet runs efficiently, safely, and cost-effectively, supporting both day-to-day operations and large-scale event logistics across multiple markets. Manage a Fleet of over 250 drive units and trailers including: EROAD maintenance Manage service reports for each location Secure roadside assistance for those who have broken down OTR Budget maintenance costs based on job vs overhead costing Event based mileage reports provided to Account Executives per request Manage DOT compliance across the company Manage 100 plus drivers Ensuring compliance with all DOT regulations Testing and training new DOT drivers Maintain vehicle and trailer assignments to minimize rental cost Secure all truck/trailer rental needs for all ongoing/upcoming projects Code all Fleet One & WEX fuel charges for correct billing Maintain records of all EZ Pass and monitor regularly to ensure they are being returned. HUT, IRP, & IFTA mileage report tracking for compliance Yearly review of all units for Insurance and COI distribution to entire team Maintain trailer pictures & graphic layout for all trailers Qualifications Education: High school diploma or equivalent College degree or equivalent preferred Experience: 2-4 years fleet management experience 2+ years’ experience utilizing fleet management software for tracking and reporting CMV driving experience required Requirements: Class C license with ability to secure a med card CDL license preferred Schedule: Able to travel to events that are within the required market. Out-of-market travel may be required at times. Must be flexible with work schedules
