Description

As a Double Backer Operator, you’ll play a hands-on role in running one of the most critical parts of the corrugator line. You’ll set up, monitor, and adjust the double backer section to help convert recycled paper into high-quality corrugated sheets. This position is key to keeping production moving smoothly and meeting customer quality standards. Shift: 2nd Shift (4:00 PM – 2:00 AM) — Must be available for overtime and occasional weekend work as needed Starting Pay: $18.57/hour – Eligible for pay increases at 90 days and 6 months based on performance and attendance. What You’ll Do * Set up bridge guides and glue stations correctly before runs * Load and splice paper rolls, ensuring correct size and grade * Adjust for tension, alignment, adhesion, and warp throughout the run * Trim paper only as needed for splicing * Clean starch pans, glue rolls, and keep the double backer area clean * Record production, safety, and quality data accurately * Submit maintenance requests and support equipment upkeep * Assist the Corrugator Operator and help train dry end team members * Follow production schedules and suggest improvements * Follow all safety policies and keep your area organized and hazard-free Who You Are * You’re dependable and show up ready to work every day * You’re a team player who follows instructions and supports others * You’re comfortable staying active and working around machines * You can read and understand safety instructions and production documents written in English * You can use a tape measure accurately and consistently * You’re confident using basic math for counts, measurements, and simple calculations * You’re detail-oriented and care about doing things the right way * You’re eager to learn, grow, and contribute to the team’s success What to Expect on the Job * You’ll be on your feet for most of you shift.
